Is it time to bring back Prayer in schools?

Rick

No prayer in school unless you put your kid into a religious school

Toby McDonald

Religion has no place in public school and should be the parents responsibility.

Anyone who answers yes needs to review the Constitution and Supreme Court cases. And if reading is a challenge ask someone who can read to explain it to you.

It would be totally arrogant of me to say there is no god. Having said that, there is no god. Have your beliefs, have your prayers, have your sacred traditions. Just don’t have it in a public school.

I work in a high school in Southern California and we have a very diverse group of students and faculty. I could count at least three different faiths that are practiced here. Why should one religion be allowed to pray in school and others not be able to. Only way I'd be for it is if there was a time set aside in which students could openly pray to whatever higher power they wish.

Used to be left. It went to radical. I like some ideas on the right. But as of now, I'm on the sidelines. I don't disparage religious people. I just believe religion is not appropriate at schools. But the beginning of my argument above was just tongue and cheek.

The Constitution doesnt say for the people to be taxed and pay for schools, so should people be able to be opted out of being taxed? Public schools is a socialist/communist idea which is why the cost of living is becoming impossible.

The Constitution and Bill of Rights comes from the Bible. Its called the Judicial system for a reason. All of our freedoms come from God and the Bible. Its probably a good idea to get someone to read it to you.

The Constitution and Bill of Rights is from the Bible. Other 'religions' that have a 'different' God have different idea of how people interact with each other. Should Muslims kill freely because You and your family are not muslim? (that muslim rule erases 'Thou shall not kill'). Catholics are very pro child molesting. (That alone erases Jesus statement 'if anyone hurts these little children.......).
