Live Updates: George Floyd protests spread nationwide

What measurable changes do you want to see enacted as a result of the killing of George Floyd and the nationwide protests?

Criminal charges for all officers involved in Floyd's killing

Increased community immersion within local police departments

Improved system for the hiring of minorities within local police departments

These guys appeared (I only saw the video, I was not there) to ignore what was going on with George Floyd despite comments from bystanders that he was not resisting. It was clear that he could not breathe, was not resisting and posed no threat. Granted, what happened before the video I do not know but even if he was a wild man before that, he was near death at this point. Lock 'em up.

arrest all the cops that were involved with killing him. And need to do something
about all future cops that kill all these harmless black men and women. But basically any cop that just kills anyone that is not needed to be killed.

Bernard Thompson

I think this is key. Good training is the only way to actually see change in behaviors here.

Assuming criminal charges already, thinking more long term having the public/community more involved for improvement going forward is appropriate and possibly essential.

Joe Rigby

Yes, but then it gets messy. The court system usually shows us that power, influence, and money dictates guilt. One of my favorite quotes is “ Who watches, the watchers?”

All of the above but people need to voice that black lives matter. Everyone needs to speak up.

Albert Long

All of the above, its clear what happened wasn't okay and that clearly something is wrong there and other places.

Derrick McQuinn

Got to coach ‘em up and train ‘em up.

Anthony Avila

It will take a lot of work from all sides.

Darrin Schallock

I would have to agree that it's all of the above

i'm for all of the above. there needs to be an overhaul

Cops need more training, I also think they need to humble themselves a bit. When is the last time you saw a cop walking around? talking to people? People used to know the officers that patrolled their neighborhoods. They're just people with guns now.

I’d like to see black people leave the slave-ship “plantation” known as the DEMOCRAT party...

If there was an- all of the above choice- I would have hit it! Lots of work needs to be done
