The NBA wants a downtown centric arena, revamping the old key arena didn’t help.

I hope so. I spoke with Nate Robinson the other week and he is hearing big things that are gonna happen there. (He lives in Seattle)

Having a renovated Seattle Center arena, the NHL, and the Kraken packing the house, it definitely will give the NBA a pause. Seattle is a great NBA city. Chris Hansen tried to get the Kings a few years back and build an arena next to Safeco field, but the Port of Seattle wasn't having it. That is where the NBA wanted to go. There's definitely still interest from his group, but Seattle doesn't need two arenas. Problem with Seattle center area is the traffic. I would love to see the Seattle Sonic's come back as an expansion team.
