I picked my wife up at Pacific Beach in 1988, married in 1989 and will always be my favorite. Great beach, fun atmosphere and can walk to Mission Beach and back. Great food choices, plenty of sand and I don't mind looking at the scenery while there--after all that's where it all began for this Arizona boy back then.

Closer to home for me and always seems clean and not as crowded

people have such a false idea about what pacific beach is really like. if you're near garnet or mission blvd. then, yeah, it can get crazy. but mostly its just a neighborhood like anywhere else. the street i'm on is quiet and has families on it. this is my hood for 12 years!

I will always choose Carlsbad because it is my hometown. Every time I walk on the beach walk I think how lucky we all are to live here.

PB, where I grew up going to as a kid so its my favorite
