Could be: Oscar the Grouch, dude lived in a garbage can!Snufalufagis, big ass elephant with a cool name.Ernie and avert, as the debate rages if they were a couple or not?Elmo exploded late on the scene.So many ways to go, but Big Bird along with Kermit the Frog are the two main characters.
