Your kid is 10 and asks you point blank, “mom/dad please tell me the truth is Santa Claus real”? What do you do?

I promised never to lie to them and tell them Santa isn’t real but the Christmas spirit is.

I come back with the cryptic, “I’m not sure but I sure hope so...now let’s have some ice cream”!

I look them straight in the eye and say “yes 100% real now go to bed”!

Pretend I don’t hear and quickly try to change the subject.

I told my kids he wasn’t real when they were around 4-5. I don’t fill my kids head with this fantasy crap.. shit we work hard and they need to know where all those gifts really come from...
