Nothing because I don’t get in the water in Cali.. the only time I get in the water is in the Caribbean or in Miami, where the water is nice and warm..

If there a shark warnings I don’t need to tempt fate. The likelihood of being bitten by a shark is minute, but they are out there, and if the lifeguards pack it in for the day, I am out of the water!

Immediately go in the water a pretend to be seal, lol jk. Usually get on my phone and try to figure why the signs up. My primary worry would be great whites which the sighting are rare, most the other sharks you'd run into our coast don't have mouths big enough to even harm us.

If there is a sign on the beach indicating a shark sighting or a recent shark attack warning, I'd probably go find another spot to paddle out. There's plenty of good waves in California. But sharks travel and the entire ocean is their habitat, so sign or no sign, you know it's always a possibility.
