The Padres are 28-25, and San Diego is a beautiful place to live! BUT...the Yankees are the best franchise in professional sports and they're alone atop the AL East at 34-18! Think Machado would like to change dugouts and be a Yankee?

No way! He's got his $300 million, lives in America's finest city, is the star of the Padres, and is part of a young, growing team that will find its way to a World Series soon!

Yes, he would rather play for a storied franchise and be on the East Coast.

VERIFIED

Yabkees could have had him if Steinbrenner would have ponied up the dough.... turns out Fowler and Siedler were willing to open the vault, he's a Padre. Yankees should have made more of an effort to sign him last off-season

That's stupid question to ask...you guys must be real bored

He is sure playing like he was happy with his decision! If there are regrets, I can’t see them.

Another benefit of San diego - don't have the crazy media of New York to deal with...

Plus factor in you have DeBlasio and being a Padre is PLUS! GO PADS!!
