Would you root for an Spanos-less LA Chargers?

Michael Johnson

I'm a Packer fan at heart. The only reason I used to root for the Chargers was because I knew it was good for the city. If they aren't in San Diego, I couldn't care less

The Red Pimp

VERIFIED

Considering he’s the only reason I’m not a fan right now, the second he’s not there I’m back with the Bolts.

Katz

Maybe.. I’ll still prob watch but I won’t root for them to lose I guess..

Bernard Thompson

It’s all about civic pride and the dislike for LA

Edwin Garcia

No. I put Spanos up there with other NFL Owner immortals like Georgia Frontiere and Art Modell. Owners that owned NFL franchises with great histories and moved them. Except for Modell, they were owners that didn't create wealth, but simply won the sperm lottery or inheriting the team. Their asset grew solely because of the popularity of the NFL and due to nothing they did.

Don Benson

I don’t give a rats ass who the owner is, I still remain loyal to a true original Southern California franchise.

Lorenzo Z. Villalobos Jr.

Yes, I think the Spanos family made huge mistakes that include Seau, Tomlinson, many key players getting away and a foolish approach. Having said that, it is not easy to be a good owner so it has to be an owner who brings a positive face and quality team. It would be hard for them to win me over as I have pretty much moved on.

Bob Rauch

Maybe more so then now, but at this point I've lost my interest. They'd probably have to come back to San Diego for me.

Derrick McQuinn

It’s funner to hate them with Spanos as owner. Let him fail and fail miserably.

Christian Navarro

Hard Pass. Couldn’t stand ownership when they were here and was a season ticket holder... regardless of who owns them, my NFL team doesn’t exist anymore

Joe Rigby

Removing that (cursed) ownership family from the franchise is a good start to winning me back!

David P

It will never happen. But there is always maybe in the future of our dreams...

Any NFL team that starts with “Los Angeles” is not a team I will root for. Come back to San Diego and you have all our city’s support

Frederick Remick

JD DeOcampo

F Spanos, but as a a former Diehard San Diego Chargers fan, it's the LA part I can't root for. If it was the Vegas or San Antonio Chargers I would still be rooting for them. When I first started loving sports it was it was the LA Dodgers and The LA Raiders and I HATED THEM because they always kicked our ass and all the bandwagoneer kids at school were Raiders, Cowboys, and 49er fans and I was competitive and it used to really get to me. So HELL NO, never root for a team from LA. Not USC with Reggie Bush, not the Clippers with Kawhi. WILL NOT ROOT FOR LA.

Chris

ZERO Chance. Not only are they in Inglewood I was born and raised as a San Diego Charger fan. That team is gone. Not to mention Rivers was the last player on that team I cared enough about toto

Toby McDonald

I stopped being a fan of the Chargers and pretty much stopped being a fan of the NFL the second that the stupid East Coast Minded NFL office allowed the Chargers to move to Los Angeles. This was one of the biggest blunders the NFL ever made. The city of San Diego should have worked harder to keep the team here. The City, the NFL, and the Spanos are all to blame for the move and the loss of fans. RIP San Diego Chargers.

Isaac Ramirez

I am to the point that if the team were to comeback home with Spanos as the owner, I will root for them. Just bring the team home.
