How many Coronavirus deaths in the US are acceptable to you to avoid a long recession?

I don't want the economy to collapse. But if we open up too quickly and there is a spike in deaths, the economy is going to collapse even worse if we have to go back to quarantine a second time. And this only takes the deaths into account. There could be an enormous amount of very sick people overwhelming the health care system. Not everyone recovers, and this disease treats people differently. It's not all old and compromised health individuals who get it. I have many family members who work in health care who can't believe the devastation they witness every day from this. My opinion is let's be safe and smart in how we go about opening back up.

No death is acceptable but we don’t seem to care about deaths caused by drug use, alcoholism /alcohol related and gang violence. If it’s black on black or brown on brown deaths , we care but we really don’t care. Media doesn’t hype those type of deaths.

All deaths end up equally and all negatively affect those families respectfully.  We should be yelling from the rooftops about these senseless murders. I want the media to cover these killings with the same magnitude as COVID-19.

Get where you're coming from, and agree to a point. The difference is that Covid-19 is highly contagious, while the things you mentioned are not.
