The 2020 Padres rank #2 in franchise history in terms of talent, excitement and national attention since the world series campaign in 1998.

They seem legit hope this new pitcher is good

Most of Padres' September opponents are against sub-.500 clubs who must be packing it in, mentally, altered more-so, a midst these "challenging times" (albeit tired n overused marketing cliche).

Circle your calendar Sept. 14-16 vs the Doyers, where the Friars could take over first place in the NL West, #1 seed in the NL....and nobody wants to face Fernando Tatis Jr. & Manny Machado mashing bombs into the Western Metals & Supply Co. building on Tony Gwynn Drive.

98 was my favorite year for baseball. This year feels the same.
