With Buster Posey opting out this season, who will take his place?

The 🐼 came into the majors as a catcher. He is slimmer now than he has been. Makes total sense he would go back to his roots and get behind the plate again

Joey Bart is the catcher the Giants are grooming to take Posey's place once Buster either hangs it up or is moved to 1st base once he cannot catch any longer. Bart has been high on the Giants radar for years and has a solid bat and a cannon for an arm. Barring injury Bart is the Heir Apparent to Posey. As far as Posey is concerned he is sitting out 2020 for the right reasons (family first). This gives Bart the opportunity to show what he can bring to the table. Being a Giants fan myself I'm looking forward to watching Bart this season.

definitely a Padres fan.... championships don’t influence my fandom (obviously LOL!!).  Love watching the giants lose almost as much as watching doggers lose 🤷‍♂️
