Is a couple of dollars a sufficient tip for a bartender to pour a pitcher of beer?

Have to take care of those that take care of you especially if it’s a place you frequent.

It's not a mixed drink so there isnt a ton of speciality that goes in to it but its a longer pour and there is some care needed in doing it properly so it never hurts to tip a dollar or two for something like this

I get what you're saying ... it's not that hard to pour a beer or pitcher. Easy money for them. That said, I think a good rule of thumb for drinks is $1 per drink. Or maybe 10% of the tab. If a pitcher has 4-5 beers, $5 seems high, but it's probably fair.

When in the USA I've followed the rule of $1 tip a drink. So, if a pitcher (jug) is worth about 4 drinks, I'd tip $4.That said, here in Australia, it's perfectly normal not to tip!#Cheers
