The NFL wants to expand to a 17-game regular season schedule. Does this mean....

The NFL wants to stage a weekly London game and use the 17th game for all teams to travel across the pond to play once a year in Jolly Ol' England.

It's a pre-cursor to the Chargers' complete failure in LA and eventually moving them out of there so the league can rotate games for the "transplanted" fans of other teams (i.e. Packers v Steelers at SoFi Stadium as an "extra" 17th game).

I think this is the reason why. The Rams won't have trouble filling seats at the new stadium. But the Chargers will.If you've paid attention to the "cute soccer stadium" attendance the last 3 years, it's clear the opposing fans of the Chargers overrun that stadium.....most of them transplanted fans of other teams who live in the LA area.Makes sense to me if the Chargers don't fill seats at the new digs to move them out of there and fill that second LA game each week with a matchup worthy of filling 70,000 seats, like the Packers v Steelers. And we know both teams represent well in LA.... don't we Dean Spanos??? LOL!So a 17th game for teams might mean a trip to LA, just not to play the Rams or Chargers.

The NFL just wants to score more revenue, especially as it looks to expand overseas. If they do that, the players should demand to drop two preseason games from the schedule.

I slightly disagree, the Chargers games are filling the seats, it is just with opposing fans. That, I believe, is the real reason why Philip Rivers is separating himself from the organization.
