Ring chasing doesn't bother me too much until you see see buy-outs and such. Nothing wrong with chasing a good team in FA while taking a pay cut. 
I think you fix two of them by shortening the season. Makes the season more relevant as well as limiting injuries/load management.
2nd NBA needs to backtrack and start putting rules into play that benefit the defender and not the offensive player because scoring is too easy. I would widen the court so corner threes aren't so easy as well allow more physicality like hand checking and such. Maybe shorten the shot clock and stuff like that. Think how hyped fans are when a your football team holds the opponent on 3rd or 4th downm that's. How NBA should be. You got a few seconds to score or you chuck it up. We all love lover beaters too.

Main reason is too much politics in the NBA

People seem to be done with the league, comparably.
