Should college sports be postponed until the spring

I think you are correct. The risks are low but waiting til spring makes more sense. You can't and shouldn't have to be in a bubble when starting college. It's hard enough to stay safe in school, adding contact sports doesn't help.

A major problem will be sharing of athletic facilities across multiple sports

I would rather wait and see full schedules than a half assed attempt at a fall season.

MaryBeth Zmuda

I wouldn’t go that far yet I’d just keep taking it a couple months at a time

At this stage of the game, with so many college athletes, and the inability of coaches and admins to keep them quarantined, we should battle the virus, defeat it, and come back in the spring!

Daughters D1 sport in the BIG 12 has been postponed till the spring. Smart move I think, especially for incoming freshman.

Chris Glossner

Figure out a way to make it happen. Life must move forward.

Jacinth Duarte

I don’t know. It’s looking like it should be, but I am not happy about it.

... at least... they don’t have the resources/budgets to keep athletes safe.

This may be ancient history, but in April we said wait for Sports until the fall.
It's fall.
Realistically we may be asking the same question for next fall.

High school or college it’s going to be a problem. seems like schools are going to have to actually show what they consider priority
