The Angels have a long and storied tradition of paying great players well, Bauer has strong SoCal roots and stronger ambition. He’s stated he wants to get paid, and that he wants to win a World Series. I think the priorities are in that order. His team will leverage the angels vs the Dodgers, and i think the angels will take their shot at a longer deal considering they’ve got peak or close-to-peak Trout for a handful of years.
