Should golf courses in San Diego be open for business?

As long as people follow the rules, do not ride in a cart with someone outside the house, stay 6ft apart and wear face protection there is no reason to not allow it. Keep rules in place to not touch rakes, flags, etc and and everyone will be able to be outside more and getting SOME physical activity.

I don't play golf but yes, small groups of 2-4 sounds reasonable. People who have been quarantining together would enjoy the fresh air and excercise.

I don’t see why not as long as people follow the rules set aside by the city and the courses. Would love to see courses opening up soon, my kids need to practice!!

Less then 6 people, easy to distance from other people, rarely touching surfaces. Seems like a great thing to be open.

Aren't the rules of golf already compliant with Covid-19 distancing guidelines?  Who gets cozy with other golfers when playing other than in a cart maybe.  Walk the course man!  Play golf already!

If the proper precautions are put in place to avoid the spread of COVID-19, then yes they should stay open!

Golf is a distance game anyways. you have your foursome and if anyone wants to play through, you back off and let them play. I dont think I have ever seen a huge group of people teeing off together anyways so yeah it gives friends and family something to do and it is already following social distancing.

Being outside in the sun is one of the safest places to be. You actually don’t even need a cart at more than half the SD courses too. Stay 6ft away from people and go after it!

There is not better friend for social distancing than Golf. Golfers love to distance themselves from their other playing partners. For one, they love to move the ball with their feet to improve a lie while no one is watching. You might see someone twice on a hole, at the tee box and then again up on the green. You ask him what he got on that hole and he says “a four” how the hell did that happen? Social golf distancing.

I just played 18 holes in San Marcos. Nobody touched anything or anybody, they checked our temperature on check-in and everyone was playing with 6' of separation minimum. Only a left wing crazy would say no golf. Good night now!

I was going to make a comment on this but saw this and I feel exactly the same.  On a golf course it's easy to follow the guidelines
