You have to give up one for a year, Caffeine or Alcohol.... which do you choose?

This is so hard... I am a social drinker and really look forward to having a drink with friends on the weekend. Hanging on to a glimmer of hope that I'd be able to get used to no caffeine

Though I would probably be less agitated in the mornings if I gave up both (I did while pregnant - it can be done) giving up alcohol would 1) save money at restaurants 2) save the waistline 3) save money from not drunk online shopping and 4) save the marriage (not true for me but goes with the theme here)

Drink coffee M-F pretty much all day... give it up in a heartbeat for those chill evenings with a Jack rocks. Hello Redbull how you doin’?

Joe Rigby

Productivity would take a major hit if I ditched caffeine and upped my alcohol intake!

Adam Viccaro

I will take off a year from alcohol...I can do it NO PROBLEM...and I would look at it as an opportunity to get ultra fit...because the booze is what makes me a FAT ASS...because once I start drinking...then I eat EVERYTHING within sight...

I know I’m going to be in the minority, but what can I say, I need a little pep in my step.

Michelle Gross

These days I might forget my morning coffee but never my evening relaxation

Adam

Wouldn’t miss it like I would miss caffeine. I know how to be social without a drink in my hand. I don’t know how to make up without caffeine...

I dont drink alcohol, crazy to say I just really hate the taste! I know I am weird, I also dont drink coffee, My liquid vice is Soda.. which is not great for you, but it is the hardest thing for me to kick!

Guys night Lab (Jesus)

I've gone without alcohol for most of my life. I could give it up for a year if I had to.Caffeine on the other hand...

The Red Pimp

I rarely drink anymore and I get headaches if I don’t have my coffee in the morning.

Everything in moderation! Both of these, as well as a slough of other substances that we might enjoy and/or have habituated relations and tendencies with, will always be there for you. Desire emerges in the body and mind and you either attach to it, pursue and consume, or you don't. You can learn a lot about how these are entangles in your everyday life by being mindful of these processes as they unfold.

I could easily give up caffeine, so this is a no-brainer. I may be able to give up on all alcohol if my physician said I "had to", but I sure as hell don't want it to come to that. I was able to give up vodka for six weeks earlier this year, just to prove to myself I could do it...but the damn Coronavirus brought me back!Hail Tito's!

Harry Mayes

I'd rather choose for girls to give up caffeine if that were an option

I love a beer or a drink on the weekends, but it's not something I NEED to be social or have a good time. I also think it makes nights out more expensive, can make people over emotional, can lead to poor decisions, and a ton of empty calories. Coffee is a must for me to start the day and doesn't lead to any of that other stuff.

Mike

I’m assuming you can have one but not the other. Easy! Alcohol, because I rarely ever have a drink.I need my daily cup of Joe, it’s a requirement before I begin my day.

Sergio Salgado

I can give up Caffeine easily. But wine and an occasional good craft beer or mixed drink not gonna happen unless it was literally life of death. Gotta have some sort of decompression and social interaction. Not saying go out and pound a bottle of Jack every day but studies have shows 1-2 glasses of certain red wines actually decrease inflammation from the resveratrol and some studies say its good for your heart. Even if that is BS sounds good to me.!!

Toby McDonald

I could give up both but I can’t give up Sports

Stuart Left

caffeine is a very important part of my daily ritual

Brittany

I would be moving in slow motion without coffee!

I don’t drink so this was easy for me, however I will miss my NyQuil shots when I’m sick.

Joe Cabral

I barely drink alcohol but drink coffee every day

Ryan

I have maybe one beer a month. Whereas I have about 3 cups of coffee a day. This one is too easy for me.

Christian Navarro

I’m giving up Caffeine. I drink coffee every morning but I can give it up.. I rarely drink soda at all. All I drink is water and alcohol....

Bernard Thompson

I could give up alcohol no problem. I drink a beer once a month now. I am no longer trying to keep up with Frank the Tank. Caffeine on the other hand is something I need daily. I need coffee to start my day and it helps me manage my migraine headaches. No way am I giving it up unless forced to.

Isaac Ramirez

I'd wake up to coffee and get stoned with a chocolate after dinner instead of my glass of wine.

Bob Rauch

I gave up alcohol 7 weeks ago as a way to reset my focus as I embarked on the journey of my new non profit. My brother sent me a huge list of some ridiculously successful people and when many of them were asked what the best business decision they ever made was, they answered either giving up alcohol altogether or taking long 3-5 month breaks from it periodically through the year. It has honestly been so easy, I’m saving a ton of money, I’m ten times more productive, motivated, and can literally feel my brain working at peak capacity both in my work for my company and as a teacher. Coffee on the other hand fuels all of that, and is way cheaper lol

Coach Alex

You're not confusing alcohol with cannabis are you?? lol

OH yeah!!! You're totally right but I'd still give up caffeine over my JD 😊

Sorry sir but the rules are no caffeine!! Would you change your answer??
