Is Trump the worst president we’ve ever had?

As bad as Trump is as a communicator, and he is bad, there are presidents who accomplished nothing while in office. Jimmy Carter is one of the most compassionate men and was quite smart but was a disaster as president as everything he tried failed miserably. Trump is a seasoned CEO and will finally kick China's ass which has been needed, play hardball when necessary and is actually quite effective even if you do not like his actions nor agree with him. He did not cause COVID-19 and has guided the economy well, defended our nation well and if you are opposed to these, it's political which is fine.

for my time on the earth yes, but before I was here no. because there was a time where
there were more racists people than him, a time where slavery was allowed and the presidents would have slaves of their own.

Trump says a lot of stupid shit especially on twitter. But before the China virus the economy was booming and things were generally pretty good. Then comes a pandemic. He bans flights from China and is called a racist and even Pelosi tried to block that from happening. At the same time he is is being distracted by bogus Russian collusion and impeachment bs.

If anyone thinks any other politician would have had the balls to ban flights back then they are full of it

He has given power to the states and letting the govenors handle their states which is what he should do

I am not a huge fan but also think the guy has been attacked relenessly since day 1 in office and under the circumstances he still is on his feet

Jimmy Carter was a great man and humanitarian but way worse president.

Pretty sure we’ve had worse (based on history books) but Trump may take the title if not already before his term is over. He is definitely the most divisive, self centered, least empathic and borderline psychotic since I’ve been old enough to formulate my own opinions. Absolutely no sense of leadership... shit maybe he is!!

He’s the worst president I’ve ever lived through. I’m only 27, but I don’t think we’ve ever had a president that has divided the country the way Trump has. He’s just a big bully and inspires no hope, as a politician or a leader. I can’t stand him and look forward to the day we get a real leader back in the White House.

I can only speak for the Presidents that I've been alive for.

Between Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump, I would say Trump has been the worst.

He's created a divide in the country that none of the other three came close to.

I am no Presidential historian, and can’t remember much from high school US history class, but my guess is there may have been worse in the past 150 years. I can’t name one, or cite examples of who was worse and why, but I think right now, given all the craziness of our world, it’s easy to say he is the worst. Pre Corona the economy was flying high, if you support Israel you likely believe Trump is more Pro Israel than Obama was? Trump is a big bully, and a performer more than a politician, so we say he is the worst, and history may back that up in the end, but for now, other than his bully tactics, the divide of our country, I am not sure he qualifies as the worst, yet! Someone school me and explain that he is, not just due to current events. I am all ears and easily persuadable on this topic.

Everything that is going on now is not the President Trumps fault. We don't know everything that's going on behind the scenes. People don't like to be held accountable and that's what's going on.

Just watch the clip of him modeling in front of the church with a bible today. Slowing mouthing...it’s the Bible. Best troll, worst president.

Worst is a bold proclamation but he is tough and not very presidential.

Jason Finley

He is nowhere near the worst president. He has his challenges, but the card were also stacked against him from the start.

There were racial divisions before Trump was elected. During the Obama’s years, we also had police killings followed by protests and riots.
If I was a betting man, I’d put my money on another Trump presidency but no matter who is in the White House, you still have to wake up, go to work, feed your family, pay your taxes and try not to go insane.

Seems like the question of whether Trump is the worst president could have simply been asked without the additional commentary being stated as fact. What is going on currently is horrible, but how do you connect the actions of a single bad cop in Minnesota to Trump? If the president is responsible for all such incidents that occur within the country, I'm assuming the author held Obama responsible for what happened in Ferguson? Yea, probably not.

Well said, the question is ‘we've ever had' so you said, in my life, these are the Presidents we have had, and then you can analyze what you know, vs researching US history.

Lol, you talked yourself out of your side!

Scott, he is pro defense, pro economy, pro Israel. Those are my hot buttons. He is a complete asshole but the rest doesn't matter as much to me. Obama completely botched Iran, Paris Climate deal, China and Syria. Completely.
