No chance! I look at the trolley being built in UTC and think who is going to use this thing?Occasionally I take the train to downtown, but rarely use public transit.Convince me how I COULD live without a car, please!

It would be cool if the answer could be yes but I don't see it with the way the public transit is. Just not convenient or time efficient for most to take. Its going to take a lot more expansion efforts to make people not need or feel like they need cars.The scarier thing is I have heard some stuff that along the new expansion of the trolley that there going to allow the new apartments/space that may get built to only include 1 parking space per unit because of the immediate "Public Transportation near-bye.

There is not enough infrastructure in place right now for our reporters to cover the county effectively so we would not be able to exist as a company in our present form if we had to use only San Diego public transportation.

There are select communities that are already pulling this off in SD, North Park, PB, OB all come to mind. You could live in any of these communities and comfortably have access to all the basic amenities. This is indeed a massive environmental step but a huge money saver!

People need to start making this jump in more cities. The major hubs (NYC, LA, DC) all have efficient public transportation and proven that it can work. So more people need to follow through and help take America in the right direction

waaaaaay too many kid activities, sports, school etc etc... would be impossible.

I have been able to do so for the past five years. Using public transportation along with my electric bike, I have done just fine without a car. If I need a lift at night, my friends or a Lyft/Uber can be used in a pinch.

If you have multiple kids playing sports, or participating in activities, forget about it. The distance and schedules for Publix transportation would never work accomplishing anything or getting anywhere on time.

I'd try, but I don't believe its realistic for most of us.
