Cole, Wheeler, Ryu, Hamels, Bumgarner and possibly Strasburg set to hit FA... should the Padres spend big and get an ace to anchor the rotation?

Nah. Trust the process and get some small pieces to the puzzle. Wait for Gore, Patino, Morejon and Weathers.

They should sign a big name guy who can teach the current guys with leadership in the locker room. I want to trust the process but I don't live in Philly, I live in SD.

They don't need to spend BIG for a free agent pitcher. However, they do need a solid Number to 2 or 3 veteran starter to anchor the rotation.

I trust the process but also I feel like the good teams also supplement with some free agents, ultimately not ever prospect will work out so you got to have some other people who work out. Now of the listed free agents if your were going to go big and spend the moeny Cole, Bumgarner, and Strasburg appear to be the only big ones worth the money you spend. Otherwise I'd got after some more reaosnable value guys.
