Shelley Zimmerman Interview, Racial profiling in San Diego

You're crazy dude, riots would've happened either way!

Yes that was racial profiling, protests would've remained peaceful without police

Gustavo

Historically race related protests end up in riots. I think they would've happened wither way.

Albert Long

Definitely , she didn't want to answer that question at all. Because its true
the all those Trump supporters were downtown (during the lockdown) there were no
police , They didn't care if they were out thereat all.

Bernard Thompson

VERIFIED

This movement has been brewing for a good long while - they were ready to strike - this is a well-organized, political movement.

Jen Kerns

I don't know. She didn't reach her position without being to sidestep.

If you are in law enforcement and you use random sampling instead of some form of profiling, think about airport security. You'll get the same result--grandma is selected and a strong, young guy who looks pretty tough, appears foreign and seems to be traveling in a group is ignored and gets on the plane. You're a cop and the Girl Scouts have a rally and protesters who have been known to attract Antifa and other gangs are six blocks away. Where do you go? Ok, so we differ if you don't buy this as legitimate profiling.

Bob Rauch

this event was pretty a huge deal and i believe that some rioting was inevitable. but the police presence did probably make it worse
