Streamline the process. Uneducated adults need to earn their GED and pass a beginner's level English course. Children, a high school diploma's. If not a GED. Upon the completion of their basic education, they need to pass the citizenship exam and be sworn in as American citizens.

The flaw in my plan is that I do not have a humanitarian way for a solution if they fail those basic requirements. Nor a reasonable timeline for the adults to earn their GED. 4 years? 5 years?

Wholeheartedly might be too strong because we would be better off giving them a visa but what's important is they have achieved. Now, we do need to open the border for work permits/visas for workers that are desired by our employers. No illegal aliens

That would be a great 1st step but most are already here working or have been deported even some who have served in our military.

These Dreamers aren't anything right now, not even citizens and some have been deported. Depending on % needed, Dems now control both houses. People being approved have to be self supporting or won't be approved and won't be a burden on welfare. Many are now well educated and many have served in the military. This is a simple question about whether you support it. If you don't, why?
