They needed a catcher badly, got a good one

Bob Rauch

Philip J Muniz

Unsure what the La Stella contract was but I think Simmons had a better contract than Semien and JT

Graham

Anthony Avila

Phillies made the move they needed to make to have at least a offseason. Realmuto was the most important move that the Phillies could have made, and they did. The Jays getting Semien was less important because the Jays didn’t need Semien as bad as the Phillies needed Realmuto

Semien adds depth.... The Phillies are still shit but now with an expensive catcher

Adam Riggi

Blue Jays already have Bo Bichette and Cavan Biggio. Phillies didn't have a good catcher.

Joseph Gibbs

Phillies now don't have to start Andrew Knapp

Ross

Ik that Realmuto was definetly the best move, but the Phillies had a rly underrated rookie catcher in Rafael Marchan I think he could've been a starter

Real Miri is garishly the best free agent there, and the Phillies were crying poor two months ago.

Realmuto is clearly the best of these 4 but it does cripple the Phillie's budget-wise so Semien does have a good argument behind him.

Noah

Blue jays are contending for a playoff spot and they needed one more infielder and one more pitcher this move does half of that sure it’s an overpay and probably takes the blue jays out of the kris Bryant trade rumours but now all they need is one pitchee

Zach

For all the talk that JT was seeking a 200 million deal and that the Phillies were crying poor due to pandemic losses, the fact they got one of the, if not the best catcher in baseball for an AAV of 20 mil is pretty remarkable.

Jake

i feel that the phillies getting realmuto back was the best move, the phillies are a 4th or 5th place team but without realmuto, they wouldn’t be great at all, now that they have realmuto locked up, they can go get some pitching pieces and start to build that bullpen back up.

The Phillies needed a catcher, so they resigned Realmuto. I guess they aren't that much of a poverty franchise anymore. But..... they still are crying poor.

Which team made the best move today?
