Remember that defending the police doesn't mean to get rid of. It simply means to hold accountable and put some of the funds that go to that department into places that would be able to help the system work better. Police have too many task on their hands and can use help from other agencies that are better qualified and equipped to handle certain situations.

The police can't win. I am opposed to any defunding as it would lead to anarchy.

Neither. In my mind there's a middle ground.

Change needs to be done. And maybe this will be a way for that change

Bernard Thompson

Defend, because I agree that most of the people being very loud about defunding the police truely mean defund. However, I believe in the other half to have cooler heater/smarter to focus on reform to help.

We should have another option on here....i am in the middle of this. Chula vista was authorized increased use of drones, not okay i don't want to see some thing recording over head just because... but we also need to understand most police officers are good and only very few rotten apples.

If we’re not going to reallocate resources, we at least need to stop paying for their lawsuits & make them solely responsible for the crimes they commit while on duty. Qualified Immunity needs to be rolled back.

I don’t defend them all the time, but who wants to live in a city without them? It’s the blind leading the deaf!

Mark Watkins

CRIMINALS, STOP breaking the law and police will ALMOST never be an issue to you.
