My only issue with kicking them out right away is that we don’t know the true intent behind it, even though it almost seems kind of clear in the fashion they did it. Thing is, I literally did not know it had a racist interpretation until this year, so I feel like I could have easily used that symbol without even considering it. May just be ignorance on my part, but I feel like I’m not alone there. I think the institutions are now investigating, so if anything pointing to racism or discrimination comes out, they should be kicked out at that time for sure because that’s not what our academies stand for.
