After watching the first two episodes of the “last dance” how do you feel about Jerry Krause?

He drafted Jordan and Pippen leave him alone.

Like I said in the other post , yes Fuck that guy he did end a Dynasty.. even though I’m a LAKER  fan I still loved Jordan. He was fucked up how he treated Pippen. And then was it him or the owner that told Jackson it was his last year.. so fuck that guy...

I'm not sure how anyone could watch that and not see him and say "fuck that guy". He ended one of the greatest dynasties in NBA History. While I have never been a huge fan of villainizing people after their death, the way he's portrayed in the first two episodes makes this a clear answer

The struggle to be a champion for Jordan was born out of the failure in his first 6 seasons in the league. Watching his growth is a message to all athletes that greatness comes in the pain bathed through desire to be the best.

First of all, Krause did not draft Jordan, that honor went to Rod Thorn.  However, he did draft Horace Grant and acquired Scottie Pippen in draft day trade with Seattle among other signings along the way, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, etc...  The Pippen acquisition was genius as he went to an NAIA school and was a below the radar star in the making.He also hired Phil Jackson.His problem was ego and that is what eventually led to the dynasty's demise after 6 rings in 8 years.He ended a dynasty that he was integral in it's development and rise.  I have to give him a great deal of credit and blame.

Living there during the Bulls great run, we saw and knew two things up close: he was a shrewd GM but he needed too much attention. You heard it said about him that he “couldn’t get out of his own way.” Rarely has that phrase been more on-target. That he entertained offers for Pippen was ridiculous. For all of their individual greatness, they were and remain the greatest combo in the history of the league. Their defense changed games as much as their offense. I’ve always believed Krause’s arrogance and ego shorted the Bulls from at least one more title. Maybe two.
