Trump hasn't dominated a debate since 2015. He's not a great debater. His style was such an abrupt change from previous presidential debates that he caught Hillary and his GOP competitors off guard. Since then, his style has not resonated with anyone that's not a straight line GOP voter. The only debate he truly "dominated" (if you would call it that) since is first run was the last debate with Biden. And truly, that was a bad debate performance! He said nothing of substance, and sat quietly and let Biden dismantle himself. Doesn't give me much confidence for any performances against someone with a pulse. 

However, Kamala is a word-salad master, and had horribly low approval ratings for a VP not too long ago. He needs to seriously figure out how to bring that side out of her on the stage. If Trump can accomplish that, he should indeed dominate. I'm not confident that will happen, but I'm sure praying it will.

Kamala Harris is an eloquent speaker, based on her DNC acceptance speech.

Can she debate? She was a prosecutor, so I would expect so.

Ultimately, which of these two candidates can talk about issues, and not play the personal insult game? 

Kamala needs to prove that going back to Trump is a bad thing.

Trump needs to prove that going forward with Kamala is a bad thing.

So who can convince the undecided voters? Are there any undecided voters out there?

All he has to do is just let her talk and stumble over her own words and positions, and the situation will handle itself. The strategy will be the same as it was with Joe Biden. Let him destroy himself. She has no real policy issues and she has been hiding from questions from the media and the public. Her policies according to her surrogates are exactly the opposite of what she said on record in 2020. She is SCREWED. I can't wait to watch.

I'm warning you, Trump legitimately is not a great debater. If you and I agree with Trump to start the debate, and then we continue to agree with him at the end, that's not "winning." He needs to convince people from the OTHER SIDE that he's right. He doesn't do that very well. 

Trump can (and should) win this debate. But it's not going to be a cakewalk.
