Has the move from the Big East to the ACC improved Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame and Louisville sports programs?

No. I get it, they took the big money, but Syracuse football had already fallen on tough times as they had a 36% winning percentage before joining the ACC and now they have to sell recruits on playing in ACC from their northeast location? They lost any New Jersey and New York pipeline years before when Greg S arrived at Rutgers and now he has returned. As far as Syracuse basketball it’s obvious they are not getting the same type of players and are middle of the pack at best.

The Big East Conference prior to the migration and realignment was the best basketball conference in the history of NCAA hoops: Georgetown, Syracuse, UConn, Villanova, Pitt, St. Johns, Seton Hall, Providence, Notre Dame, Marquette. The rivalries were the best in basketball and no other has surpassed them since.

The Big East was at least as tough so it makes no sense to me that the move made those teams better

I agree they left for football money. I think football should have gone the independent route and basketball should have stayed put. The rest of sports would have been fine.
