Is this woman justified in being offended about getting kicked out of a male-only barber shop?

Rules are always difficult ones. Didn’t they say in Gangs of New York “the rule of law must always be upheld, especially when its being broken.” Boys clubs, girls clubs...kind of silly but let people enforce the rules they think makes them whole.

I don't know about being offended, but she has every right to be mad because a barber shop is a public place, therefore, by law, cannot be discriminated to be in a place of business due to gender.Something tells me that this story is blown way out of proportion and it has nothing to do with that she was kicked out because she was a woman. I suspect that there is much more of a back story then this poll suggests. I have a hunch this woman had an altercation, may be not physical but certainly an oral confrontation, KEYWORD: BEFORE, she was kicked out of the barbershop immediately when she entered it.

if it says male only its male only. All this fuckin political correctness and gender equality shit is going overboard. It's not a bathroom not a restaurant it's a men only privately owned barber shop. I'm sure the owner will get blasted by women's rights groups and either allow them in or be forced out of business.

I guess by the letter of the law technically she’s in the right, but considering it’s a private business they technically can refuse service/entry to anyone. Still not sure why you want to cause all that fuss, bound to end with someone suing you. Still not sure you’d want to go into a male only place, just like LINDA hates the foul language or humor on the show sometimes I’m sure there is a similar conversation vibe in this place. Additionally, this is like guys going into Victoria’s Secret or similar store or businesses. It’s just kinda odd

I agree 100% There's room for political correctness and then there's just being ridiculous. Nowadays people find ways of being offended for anything and unfortunately because of everyone being a &ldquo;journalist,&rdquo; it can damage a business owner's reputation. This woman is just wrong.

It really is a silly rule, but I mean, to make a big deal out of it is what I don't understand. Like, just live and let live. Respect people's property and rules and they'll respect yours.

On one hand this seems ridic, and yet on the other, having a &lsquo;men's club' where everyone can say what they want and not worry about being offensive seems reasonable too!

Nothing in the news article about an altercation. Sounds like just a business owner sticking to his guns.

I also wonder why the guy didn't just avoid the awkwardness and have her stay home or in the car or something. Especially if he knew ahead of time of the rules.
