Do you agree with the Senate plan to remove names of Confederate leaders on military assets?

Sided CNN

Yes yes yes .. take all those names off and flush them down the toilet.. How could you want to praise or honor something so horrible...

just imagine being african american and having to go sleep, work, eat, defend a place that is named for a person, who had his way, would have that same africa american guy in chains. no brainer.

F the confederates, but also f all woke people!

I'm okay with changing the names of various military bases if there is a specific reason, however, I am not in favor of a blanket change that does not take everything into account. While they fought against our country and it is valid to question their names, there is no real reason to do this now. They were a part of our history but I am not saying there should never be a change. I'd rather focus on the issues we already have in front of us - these include coronavirus, police reforms and time sensitive issues. And let's stop political bickering and solve problems!

We are not choosing to forget our past, we are choosing to not honor people from that period. We will never forget their views and their actions.

Gustavo

No, ditto to what Adam said. All were doing is censoring out history, at some point we got to learn from it.

History always repeats. It’s what makes us human, weak, and bonded.

People don't forget what the confederacy stood for and did, we are choosing to not honor them.
