Princeton University to remove Woodrow Wilson's name from building

Do you agree with Princeton's decision to remove Woodrow Wilson's name from building?

Sided CNN

I'm rather tired of our desire as a nation to change history but it's their building, their right in the case of Princeton.

Bob Rauch

VERIFIED

Bernard Thompson

Let’s change everything. Starting with anything with the word white attached.

Anthony Avila

This one is a slippery slope because Washington state and DC should theoretically be changed also and every other leader that was a slave holder... right?

MaryBeth Zmuda

If that’s what they decided why not? There the ones in charge of the building and they all voted to remove his name. So be it.

Albert Long

Histor is history even if it is not nice or racist etc its still history and can't be erased.

Toby McDonald

I don't know that I really care, but here's a better thought, just stop naming building and shit after people, that way you don't regret it later.

And while I am not shocked there are some racist ish stuff rom Wilson at the time. Can't say that I have ever heard much talk about this before now.

Derrick McQuinn

Not surprised at this. All names and Labels are in play right now

Michael Johnson

Jason Finley

So please tell me, because I don’t know, what did he do that requires his name be taken down all these years later? I have no idea, but open to learning!
