If college football has a shortened or delayed season, to recoup financial losses should the CFB Playoff expand to 8 teams?

Would make a lot of sense with a shorter season and couldn't make an excuse of player safety or playing too many games

The world is a different place, and college football should take this time to devise a new futuristic plan. There is plenty of talk about this college football season not being played, hard to believe with so much money on the line. However, if the season has a late start, with fewer games, and possibly without fans in the stadium, they will need something to keep the hard core and casual fans engaged.A new expanded playoff system might be the best thing for the game.

CFB Playoff executive director Bill Hancock has told me point blank on my program there's no interest to expand. We both know that's simply not true. Whatever reasons he and others have had, wanting to hold onto four teams - this crisis gives them a perfect opening to expand within a win-win scenario. Expand and it's a success, they reap praise and money. Expand and it doesn't work, they blame overreaction during a crisis and it was only a one-year test.

Businesses nationwide are being forced to evolve. CFB should be no different.
