I'll call it soda if we're referring to just general soda. But if we're actually talking about Coca-Cola then I'll call it Coke.

It’s soda for me! As a kid in NY it was called soda. When we moved to Denver it was pop. When we moved to Florida it was soda. When I went to Pitt it was Pop. Now in CA it is soda...so 3-2 soda wins.

This will win by an overwhelming margin because it’s regional. My ex-wife’s family in Denver would mock me when I would use “soda” instead of “pop”; geez, looking back, that’s another reason we’re divorced ha ha.

I’m a native Chicagoan and the Midwest is generally Pop. That said, I’m not a follower - SODA for me! My Greek reataurant family always called it soda.

NYC, Philly, L.A. were all soda cities for me. Minneapolis and Fargo, decidedly pop. Chicago was more pop but not with my family. I'll go 3-2 for soda with 1 tie.
