Yes it counts, you get to interact with people who work and live in that city, in that state

I s’pose technically it counts but I personally wouldn’t consider claiming I’ve visited a state unless you’ve had some experience outside the airport.

Good Question!  I think you need to spend time in the state or at least drive through it.

I think you've had to at least done something in that state for it to count. I don't think hanging out in the airport counts

I typically say, I do but i just use the disclaimer of through the airport. lol

Have to actually VISIT the state - airport stop over is not a visit
