He is a gifted comedian and actor but that doesn't give him the title. He had a 35 year (1984) break from SNL where so many other actors/comedians had a chance to shine and be repeat guests. Eddie needs 5 more visits with 'Mr Robinsons Neighborhood' to be considered.

No one has had a better career before or after SNL then Eddie. Will Ferrell is close but he isn’t a comedian he’s just funny.
