Boss Jose

One day it will happen but probably not in many of our lifetimes!

I don’t carry cash as it is now so wouldn’t bother me

VERIFIED

It’s always best to use cash if possible.

Great question! Going cashless allows us to ditch the coronabucks. It allows for a perfect transition to a value added tax on every transaction done the government can then track all transactions. It's also going to make money laundering much more difficult. This could be married with an immigration amnesty and expanded with permits since undocumented cannot work on a case only basis. This will put the squeeze on all businesses that are used to paying poverty wages under the table.

Hell No! I don't want amazon, google, banks to know everything about me. I tried searching for a new brand of pet food on amazon and now all i see on every webpage I visit is ads for pet foods. No thanks.

No, how will drug dealers do business? Seriously, we are trying at our hotels but there are many legitimate customers who want to pay by cash. Example: Joe Schmo is staying room 100 at $100. His company is paying. He is unsophisticated and does not understand QR codes or Apple Pay, etc. He wants to buy a beer at our bar or sundry shop. Many customers are like that. Cash will be obsolete in 25 years.

No! I love giving cash for gifts to my nieces and nephews and how would I buy my lotto tickets they only take cash.

Still love winning a bet on the golf course and getting cash money. No Venmo for golf course bets

While I do primarily use card, I don't see this and at time Cash is still king. Since smaller businesses do less business its takes a lot more out to use a credit card service to process the payments and for some its not reasonable to do. Also, its always nice to get cash especially off the books.

I don't need or want a third party privy to every financial transaction I make.

...should America go cash-LESS???
