What is the easiest job in the local news in San DIego?

Weather Person - Sunny and 70 degrees again?

Sportscaster - Padres look promising - 162 games later - We suck again

Sportscaster - Chargers moved - Spanos still sucks

Darrin Schallock

I will go with the weather.. it’s the same year round.. sunny. And a few days out of the year we will have some rain but hardly ever..

VERIFIED

Pretty easy to be either Weather or Sports in San Diego. Not much change in weather and also not much happening every day in sports.

Jason Finley

Weather for sure, the majority of the year its like a no brainer. .

Derrick McQuinn

In San Diego definitely the Weather Person

Albert Long

I used to enjoy watching Ted Lietner on Channel 8 in the 1980s... he announced the Padres games and then would go full stream of consciousness with his sports coverage. Hilarious stuff.

Christopher Moreno

at least they don't have to endure the heart stabbing sports casters do after failed Pads seasons. BUT there is plenty of soccer to get behind now so maybe their hearts can mend a bit

MaryBeth Zmuda

Its gotta be rinse and repeat most of the year with the weather. Not complaining though

I don't really believe there are any easy jobs if you want to be the best. Agree that the weather here is quite predictable, the ocean does provide some disruption but to forecast with some accuracy, understanding meteorological divergences may take some education. Have to look good, become part of the city's fabric and have outstanding communication skills. Hey, just sayin' it's more than just smiling and saying 70 and sunny.

Bob Rauch

too easy a choice. just need to try and dress up and look good on camera
