Tough one.  Depends on the restaurant.  Carne Asada is great at Vallarta's in the Village in Carlsbad.  California Burrito is great at Cessy's in Carlsbad, but my choice is Carne Asada!

There is no Cali burrito without the basic Carne Asada burrito.  A classic that has single handedly stopped more than a few attempts going vegetarian

Fully agree with that! Cali burritos should come standard with fries, cheese, guac and salsa! Because you take the OG and then you add the contemporary flavors. Always wondered why really most of the taco shops today leave guac out and treat like it is an extra. 🤔 Sometimes they'll throw crema for free instead.
