While I do not think it is any healthier for you than regular beef, I do think that there will be a number of uses for it that do not include being in a burger shape.  I will be interested to see, over time, how the consuming public reacts to it 5yr-10yr down the road from now!!

I am disgusted by the entire thing really! Fake meat? No thank you! If I want a plant based burger, I will get a veggie burger, which can be very good, with a softer dryer texture, fake burger justice, gross! The stock was hot, but the product will fade, IMO.

I feel that you are always going to have the vegan/vegetarian crowd so it will always have at least a small share of the market. However as soon as studies come out that it isn’t any “healthier” than meat then all the “trendy” eaters will fall off the bandwagon.

Follow the $$$...  Tyson, Zacky Farms, and a number of meat companies are investing millions of dollars to veggie burgers and other non animal based products.  My prediction is that this is going to be the norm within 25 years.  My other prediction is that we are going to start having food produced from insects but that is a different sided debate.

I count on the innovative drive of our gr8 society. They will improve on their offerings. If it can be healthy as well as delicious you can't beat that. Top it with potent healthy ingredients as well as that which appeals to taste buds. Vegan meat can be a good carrier. There is a lot of research happening here. It has to be propagated.

I think plant based meat will stick around for a while. I feel like this started from misconception about meat. It's bad for you or it's much better to eat vegetables. I can respect those that are vegan or vegetarian. People are eating this kind of food to follow their veggie path. I do believe if your body craves it then more than likely you need it. If meat is so bad. Why do meat eating animals exist? Why aren't they all plant eating. Everything in moderation and everything in life is a balance.

You're right... fake meat juice is gross.  That is why all the money is being spent to improve the veggie meat patties.  They see this as the future.
