Why does Trending never change on the app? Seemingly always static instead of you know, actually changing with new fire debates!

It's probably too early to question, the right time to suggest changes. Beta tests always have flaws. My two cents coming from a guy who just filled out the form to get the app, wish I had it!

I don’t mind it. I’m just trying to go fire. It’s hard. While some just have a knack for it.

Trending has been showing the same debates in the same order for days...

MaryBeth Zmuda

Not a flaw and as far as I know it just sorts the debates by the number of votes each has (highest to lowest)... debates go 🔥 after 30 or 40ish votes... so it won’t change much until it they close or until other debates get more votes.

Lol its not a flaw though could be. I have also seen the top trending debate stay there for days to though on the site. So who knows.

Derrick McQuinn

There are definitely some tweaks that can be made. I think if you’ve voted and commented on something, it should go to the bottom of the scroll. That would allow more topics and interaction for more posts.

Joe Cabral

Have t noticed what you are talking about.

Bernard Thompson

We use a simple calculation to rank debates that are trending. Unfortunately it doesn’t take into account how quickly a debate is getting engagement. Will improve with time!

Was just curios about it because didn't change over several days and stayed in the same order.

Good call Anthony...might be fire debates now...

Great suggestion!! Hope they see this 👍

I think trending should reflect what people are debating right now. Most voted or top voted should live somewhere else or have its own tab.

Yeah I just think of trending like on twitter, happening right now basically.

It's just the way trending topics are cultivated, not so much real time activity, just done by total votes.

My recommendation is trending should have like an hour time stamp for what people are debating right now. Then maybe add a popular tab that goes for the whole week that just tabulates by most votes or most comments.

Or maybe a different notification that a topic you engaged on is on fire.
