Are the San Diego Padres in a rebuild for the 51st consecutive season?

Eric

The Pads need to figure out a way to build an MLB roster that can make and compete in the playoffs, plain and simple. 5 times in franchise history, with the last coming in 2006, demonstrates organizational incompetence and is just flat out embarrassing and unacceptable to fans.

THE PADRES ARE ALWAYS IN A REBUILD YEAR. I DONT EVEN KNOW THE LAST TIME THEY WERE EVEN GOOD. ALL THEY DO
IS TRADE AWAY ANY GOOD PLAYER THEY GET.

Bernard Thompson

haha/ I see what you've done here - seems like both answers get you to the same end point

I hate to say it but probably another few years before theyll be out of rebuild mode

I wouldn't consider it a rebuild this year.

It takes time to build a contender and they're building upon the core that they have.

It takes time to build a contender, but they have the talent to build one.
