During his first interview of training camp on Thursday, Rivers was asked about the running back position -- a group that includes Austin Ekeler, Justin Jackson and Derrick Gore -- and the quarterback definitely didn't do anything to help Gordon's cause.

Was Philip Rivers wrong to comment on Melvin Gordon's holdout?

No, he's showing the other running backs that he trusts them. Next man up!

Yes, you never stand between a teammate and his money!

Allison Ratzlaff

He showed love to Gordon and didn't disparage him like guys in Pittsburgh did to Lev Bell. He could have gone nuclear, but must really feel confident in what he's seen from the other guys. He won't miss Gordon until the season starts if/when his production goes down.

Coach Bryan

The Godfather in the movie said you never mess with another man’s money $$$. If Gordon gets his knee messed up Rivers has 10 kids ; he is not going to write him a check for lost income or train him &!hook him up with another job. We can see Rivers mentality when he goes back to coach high school football in Georgia and be a King. Nick Satan mentality...

Josh Abner Vizcay

Because there is no one more fiercely loyal to his teammates then Rivers.

Allen Balsley

I don’t care.. I just want the CTeam to play poorly and if helps them great!Hope Gordon’s trade is granted and actually I hope Rivers sees the light asks for a trade too knowing he can’t get a SB with the Spanos!
