Should MLB have experimented with electronic strike zone this season? What are the positives/negatives?

Aaron W

Similar to Hawkeye in tennis. Yesterday the blue called a strike on Will Myer way out of the box. This technology would have saved the botched call. Padres still won but If they didn’t that call could have cost them the game

Albert Long

Leave things alone if it ain't broke don't fix it

This would have been a great year to experiment, what more can go wrong?

Bob Rauch

VERIFIED

Might as well use this short season to experiment

Human error is a key element in any sport. So many human aspects, like framing a pitch for example, are what makes the game fun. Imagine poker without bluffing... No fun!

Shane

Good with technology staying out of it for now, plus no way they were prepared for it. Would test in a full minor league season in A or AA

Derrick McQuinn

Now is the time to try things in a league that is allergic to change.

I think it’s a great idea. I’m not a big fan, though.

Why not, seemed like a good opportunity, less people on the field and damn they’ve been garbage
