Who should be the San Diego Sockers' Team MVP for 2018-19?

Craig Elsten

While I do think Escoto has the better case because most people won’t give a keeper the MVP I can only point out that the Sockers have won quite a few one goal and two goal games. Pardo came up with so many key saves, especially down the stretch, to keep the team in the game or in the lead. His keeping is the biggest reason the Sockers have home field in the playoffs. Boris is the best keeper in the league and the reason the Sockers have only dropped one.

A very good goalkeeper is hard to come by and ask any Socker fan a few years ago and you would be told that Chistopher Toth was one of the best in the league. True enough and he still an excellent keeper but you have to have good defenders playing in front of you. Just look what has happen to him playing for the Fury. Brandon is the future of the Sockers powerhouse offence. He is just 24-25 years old and #37 is hitting 34-35 year mark, but as of right now, they are our 1-2 punch to knock off other teams. Brandon has pulled our team out of bad outcomes more than once is season. It is not that the team has any blaring weakness, cause the whole team is work at a very high level and no one looks like they have given up during a game (any game). They only had one hiccup with the Stars early in the season. The Stars played out of their minds that game.

My pick for league MVP; my pick for team MVP. At times, Escoto has carried the club, and he's featured in all 24 matches, but the Sockers are a balanced attack. Pardo is the core of the D and the key to a 5-0 OT record.
